How does the affiliate program work?

It is simple. We use an award winning 3rd party platform. You create a unique discount link. Whenever someone uses your link to make a purchase on www.2hraquarist.com, they get a discount and you get a commission. Our affiliates enjoy around 20% commission and users get a 12% discount. 

Protecting Creators

Our affiliate program exclusively uses links. Your fans receive a unique, one-time, time-sensitive discount coupon when they click on your link. 

This prevents discount aggregators | code-mills from indiscriminately storing and promoting random discount codes. Previously, we used a code-based platform as well, as it seemed sensible for content creators to be able to easily share their codes with their fan base.

However, the proliferation of discount aggregators | code-mills created severe distortions: 

(a) Codes promoted by these bots received an unfair amount of volume.
(b) Code usage was no longer reflective of actual fan support.

So we have upgraded our system to a link-based platform, as it creates a fairer playing field for our affiliates. 

How is the commission calculated?

Basically a percentage of the purchase, excluding discounts, taxes and delivery charges. You will have access to a dashboard where you can see every transaction made using your unique code.

How can I grow my affiliate earnings?

If you are not consistently achieving or exceeding our average 'Free Coffee Forever', we really want you to!

Our data shows that these 3 simple steps make a huge difference:

1. Single Click- your discount link must be accessible on your page or post via a Single Click. Not two clicks, and definitely not three. If viewers have to search or click on another page first, 99% of viewers will pass. Welcome to the world of shorter and shorter attention span 🙂.
   
   
2. The 5% rule. For every 100 links you display, on average, only 5 will receive clicks. It is a numbers game. So having more links on more posts is really important. More content = more posts = more links = more clicks. This is absolutely key.
   
   
3. 3rd Time Lucky Your fans need to see the exact same promotion at least 2 times before (maybe) clicking it on the 3rd encounter. This is the basic science of advertisements. So display your link in a consistent location in every post. This really helps. That is why brands advertise consistently on the back cover of magazines, or why billboards work. 

Do note that online store purchases are only available to customers in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and selected countries in Asia. 

Is there a visual 'badge' that I can put on my content?

Yes, you can use this overlay! Do remember to embed your reward link to the image. 

When and how will I receive my commissions?

Commissions are paid monthly using paypal. If your accumulated earnings are less than US$50, we may wait until they reach US$50 before paying you. This is to reduce transaction fees. Please note that Paypal charges a small transaction fee which is automatically deducted when the funds are deposited into your account. Full terms of service here.

How do I enjoy special discounts for my own purchases?

You will receive a unique discount code, that is tagged to your delivery address. Do note that this code is for your own personal use only. Applicable only to content creators with real, running tanks :)

How does the Store Referral Program work?

Refer a warm lead (a store that you know, that knows you and that does not yet carry APT) to us. Receive a $100 store credit on the successful placement of their first order. This is only applicable to the US, Canada and Europe. Terms and conditions apply.
